Open-source replacements for the tools you pay for

We check every project for what its README won't tell you: is it still maintained, what does the license really allow, and how much work is it to run.

Recent license changes

A project you rely on can change its terms in a single commit. We track every change to each license file and link to the commit that made it.

How we check projects

Health

Commits and active authors over 90 days, release history, how quickly maintainers answer new issues and the OpenSSF security score, combined into a score out of 100.

License

We read the license file itself: source-available terms, paid enterprise folders inside the repository, past license changes and contributor agreements.

Setup

Supported platforms from release files, Docker and Kubernetes support, and setup effort from the services in the project’s compose file.
