Paca

An AI-native, self-hosted project management platform where AI agents and people work together as teammates in a Scrum team.

2k stars, 186 forks Go On GitHub since March 2026

What is Paca?

Paca is built around the idea that AI agents should be members of the team rather than chatbots on the side. Agents take part in a Scrum process with people, picking up and updating work items alongside them, and an MCP server and Paca Skills connect external agents. It presents itself as a free, lightweight and customizable alternative to Jira, Trello, ClickUp and Monday. Desktop apps exist for macOS, Windows and Linux, and 9 translations of the interface are available.

Good fit if

  • You want AI agents to work on tickets inside your project tool.
  • You run Scrum and want to experiment with mixed human and AI teams.

Look elsewhere if

  • You want a proven tracker without AI at the center: Plane or OpenProject.
  • You want a lighter install: the compose file starts about ten services. Kaneo is smaller.

Before you adopt it

Paca is Apache-2.0, with no paid parts. It is very new, first published in March 2026, and a Helm chart is included for Kubernetes.
