What is 4ga Boards?

4ga Boards offers kanban boards that update in real time without reloading the page, with a dark mode, a wide-screen layout and an advanced Markdown editor for card descriptions. You can edit a card while filtering or rearranging the board, keeping unsaved changes locally. Boards can be exported and imported, and users sign in with Google, GitHub, Microsoft or any OIDC provider. It runs with PostgreSQL and Redis, and a Helm chart is included.

Good fit if

  • You want a fast, simple board with single sign-on for a team.
  • You like to write detailed card descriptions in Markdown.

Look elsewhere if

  • You want a larger community and longer track record: WeKan or PLANKA.
  • You need Gantt and calendar views: Kaneo.

Before you adopt it

4ga Boards is MIT-licensed and free. Nearly all of the code comes from one developer, so its future depends on that person.
