What is Pimcore?

Pimcore stores data independently of any channel and delivers it to websites, shops, mobile apps, print or headless consumers through REST and GraphQL. The Core Framework is joined by extensions for product information (PIM), master data, digital assets (DAM), customer data, web content (DXP/CMS) and commerce. You define your own data objects in a class editor, link them to documents and assets, and manage everything in the Pimcore Studio admin interface, which supports 19 languages.

Good fit if

  • You manage large product catalogs that feed several sales channels and a website.
  • You need a customizable platform for complex data models rather than a simple site builder.

Look elsewhere if

Before you adopt it

Pimcore calls itself open core and licenses the platform under the Pimcore Open Core License (POCL), which our data could not identify; regard it as not open source by the OSI definition until you have reviewed those terms. Contributors sign a CLA. Development is active with about fourteen recent contributors. It is a PHP application, and a Docker setup is available.
